Nancy with her work in room 6, 'There's No Such Thing as Society'
These works were made between 1983 - 1990 as the Disability Arts Movement was emerging.
In the exhibition programme, Ingrid Pollard notes 'We weren't expecting to get exhibitions at the Tate; in the 1980's, people set up things of their own. We did shows in alternative spaces - community centres, cafes, libraries, our homes. We occupied spaces differently.'
Nancy says 'I'm proud to show my work amongst these other fantastic women artists at Tate Britain'.
